Which is it?
Twenty ten. Just sounds funny at first because we've been forced to say "two thousand" whatever for 10 years.
I've just been saying two-thousand-ten, but now you got me thinking...
You can only say two thosand and ten if you have said nineteen hundred and fourteen.
I'll be the annoying guy who says "Oh-ten."
I like twenty ten. Saying twenty-oh-nine was dicky, but twenty ten works.

If it's just the year, twenty-ten, but with month and day, two thousand-ten. January first, twenty-ten just doesn't flow well. Once 2020 rolls around, I will fully commit to "twenty-x."

A fair point.
I think the 'nineteen hundred' was assumed for so long we took for granted 'ninety-nine' was always preceded by "nineteen hundred". Yet I always have said 'sixteen hundred and twelve' or the like for other time periods. Strange.
