I'm just starting my fourth listen now and this album is nothing less than fantastic. I don't think there's a single song on this album that I do not like.

This is good stuff, but hard to take in on one listen. I've always felt their albums were much too long. Trim this by about two or three songs and it would be the perfect length. Still the standouts are amazing.

I like the album but I think the best moments are when Damon is simply singing some catchy pop songs like Empire Ants, On Melancholy Hill, Rhinestone Eyes, To Binge and Broken.
Agreed. I could have done with a less bulky guest roster and more songs like these.
This is a fun album, which is all I ever thought the other Gorillaz releases were, so Damon and co. have done their job again as far as I'm concerned.

"Stylo" has grown on me. I think the Bobby Womack bit feels a bit shoehorned in, though. As far as Gorillaz being dignified goes, I'm pretty sure that the "Stylo" video has restored some of the dignity Bruce Willis lost by starring in Kevin Smith's newest pile.

not gonna knock this album. there are some great songs, and it flows pretty well, doesn't get boring. but honestly, when is damon gonna bust out another sabali? some songs here almost get the synth sounds right, but without the same depth and creativity.

I'm throwing my support behind this album. This is just great. I completely agree with other board members (spiritofeden in particular) that this is just great music to explore and has great repeat value.
I was dissapointed with the P4K review. Nothing really solid in that review, and also, i think the album is a 9.0+.

the Alex Metric remix of Stylo is what Stylo should have been in the first place IMHO (minus the annoying lazers)...

I've gone through the album twice now and there's not a lot that has me interested in another repeat listen beyond Rhinestone Eyes, Superfast Jellyfish and Glitter Freeze (minus the annoying lazers... seriously WTF are so many producers so enamored with lazers and foghorns)
