i took the comic as the dude hearing friends say sound opinions just in normal speech, not referencing the show, and him automatically thinking of his internet nerdiness. the friends dont realize this, and he shrugs it off.

i understand that the guy wasnt referencing the show, he was making a pun, and charles didn't think it was funny, but that happens to be the same pun that the show is named for. im just saying duff might have picked that pun on purpose maybe? LOL

Explanation: I have a comic on the web, the lousy drawing in my signature is a link to my site. Rufus posted today's page, which had a reference to everyone's favorite new show on Chicago Public Radio. It makes a little more sense if you look at the previous page, but yeah.

I enjoyed this a lot, btw. Even though it's been more than a year since I last read it and have forgotten what the deal is with some of the supporting characters.

Thanks. I was playing with some "previously on 8:1" type pages to refresh people's memories and to bring new readers up to speed without them having to read terrible comics from five years ago, but I couldn't tell how helpful they were and the (self-inflicted) deadline was fast approaching.
