It often feels like the SOMB overlooks the pop brilliance of this band. Maybe with the release of this "best of" compilation, either Velocifero or Witching Hour will get a well earned spot on the top 100 albums of the 00's.
I think it's a lot better than the original actually, makes the vocal a lot more trippy, it amps up the paranoia and drills the sound into your head. I love the effects he puts on the vocals.

...i don't remember a single song on that album...weird
looking forward to this top 100 of the 00's...most likely will find more potential gold that has left my mind

they were sucha groovy singles band... i thought they were gearing up for a new album though?
first 2 albums had the best songs and witching hour the best overall album [international dateline is a HIT SONG]
the last one was kinda by the numbers / not too memorable... but still pretty good... missing the usual amount of 2 or 3 really killer tracks though...
and man they really promote the 2 ladies... poor guys!
[but man they're both so hot... god damn them!]

The band just keeps getting better with every release. The music is amazing on a live setting, much more defining and deeper than I thought it would be, but the band presence still leaves much to be desired.

Their new song sounds really boring to me.

I have to admit that I've really underrated them. Always enjoyed their music but never saw them as one of my faves. I even forgot how awesome Witching Hour was and needed this thread to remind me.
Just finished giving the album a listen, and I liked it very much. I didn't know what to expect after hearing "Mirage," but the band sound new and do a great job picking up where Velocifero left off, but with a more subtle production sound that borrows some elements from Witching Hour. "White Elephant," "Ace of Hz," "Ambulances" and "90 Degrees" are all excellent. "Ritual" is a long and boring instrumental, while "Altitude Blues" didn't leave any sort of impression on me. The same goes for "Aces High," which is just an instrumental version of "Ace of Hz."
The track sequence also feels odd at times, but Ladytron has always had that problem.
Anyway, here's the band looking awkwardly bored, as usual.

Ninety Degrees is a fantastic track.
Pretty content with it playing on repeat in my car.
