You have to be of a certain age to truly appreciate this, but imo this is the best internet video since "George Bush doesn't care about black people"

Awesome.

awesome

edit: whoa...cosmic with the adjectives.
Howard Rock
Awesome. I wonder how many times he had to have Bob Stanley v. Mookie Wilson in order to get the 1st baseman to have an error...

good stuff. best part was the inclusion of marty barrett as player of the game

jigga would not like that video game
Dag Nasty
Wow! How fun is that to watch?! After our rotisserie draft two weekends ago we played MLB for a few hours - I didn't win a single game but that's because these guys never fingerbanged girls until college, I reckon...

The Vin Scully dub was pretty awesome. Who the fuck was doing color on that game, hopefully that guy wasn't getting paid by the word. tongue.gif

Bo Jackson was unstoppable in Tecmo Bowl. He might have a big game even if he wasn't participating.

This is an example of why the internet is the best thing ever.

unfortunately, i don't think tecmo was around then. and if it was there weren't enough players on the roster. plus, it wouldn't be logistically possible to recreate on tecmo, what with there being a clock and all

yes, i know you're just dreaming

Better name for the video would've been, "The GREATEST day of my life." Must watch again.

Let's Go Mets!

I had totally forgotten what an amazing at-bat that was for Mookie.

I was always under the impression that the Red Sox were ahead when Buckner flubbed the ground ball, and that had he fielded it properly it would've been the end of game & series. But the score was actually tied? Fuck that shit, he's not the one who choked.

Yeah. People forget that. And a lot also forget that it was Game 6, not Game 7. The Red Sox (much like the Cubs a few years ago) had a game to redeem themselves.

Not by a longshot. There was no guarantee they'd win that game, PLUS they had another game to get it back. Moreover, statistically, Buckner was probably the team's MVP for the series. They sold that poor bastard out.

Leon Durham's error was arguably worse than both Buckner and Bartman because his was in Game 5 of the NLCS.
