Why do they only put a portion of the show? They should throw it all up the next day with online ads or something.

Do you watch Nightline a lot, Ben? What do you think of the new format?
Personally, I think it's a detriment.

Can't say I've ever been a big follower. I usually enjoyed what I saw with Koppel. I've only seen the new one once. What sucks about it?

I'd much rather see a story on Tom Seaver. '69 dude.
And running his own Vineyard.

Instead of sticking with one story in-depth, we get three stories with marginally more coverage than your typical evening news story. Furthermore, one of the three stories is typically a fluff piece.

When I first saw this I thought it was about Ben Seaver. He's probably panhandling or selling drugs.

Anyone remember the railroad/train safety PSAs that the dad from Growing Pains used to appear in? Good stuff.

The mom on Growing Pains was hot back in the day.

That's old news. How `bout an update on Boner or Wesley from Mr. Belvidere?
In related news, has anyone caught Val Kilmer doing the TV evangelist thing late at night? Weird.

Sure you're not thinking of Michael Gross--the dad from
Family Ties? I seem to recall him appearing in one of those...as well as the Vanilla Ice vehicle

I saw Michael Gross in a play called
art at the Royal George Theatre. It was actually quite good.

I have nothing against Michael Gross...always kinda liked him actually, I was just trying to get to the bottom of this railroad PSA deal. Those were Gross, not Thicke...my god, what did I just type?!
EDIT: I'm really getting a kick out of the pairing of the names Gross & Thicke. Sleazy, fly-by-night law firm? Country music duo?? An apt description of my hair???

First off, this is ooooooold news. He's been spinning his christian stuff fer years now. Was producing b-flicks with the same intent and tried to plug it into the Growing Pains reunions but I think Thicke wasn't gonna have it.
The downside of Nightline now is the whole slick schtick they're doing... oh and 'Sign of the Times' should either be about Prince or else he should sue the pants off of ABC.. IMHO.

edit -oh yeah, Michael Gross was the shit in 'Tremors' too.

I've seen his show. Its funny I get two religious channels.
TLNand
EWTNTLN is the one Cameron is on. Its basically people trying to show 'look how christian I am' and more often than not you also get some 'God hates group X' or 'We need to get this done in the government for Christ' It makes me sick when people claiming to be christian do stuff like that. Quite a lot of rallying of the troops stuff, which in my mind isn't very christian. (and if you like the channel, notice I did say 'some' not all programs.)
As for
EWTN, its actually kind of nice, they have the art nun, shows that used to run in the 50s, and much more calm, level headed. I guess its a good comparison between a religious group that is mixed in with politics and one that no longer is to a large extent.

I'm reading that he's blaming God for his failed career.
I think this was the first time that sitting in a brand new car at age 16 lead to someone embracing a certain religion.
I always find it interesting that really religious people live their lives a certain way not b/c they think it's the right way to do it but b/c they trying to earn something at the end, like heaven, or avoid something bad like hell.
Be true to yourself, that's real happiness.

THANK YOU!
I saw an interview with the whole cast on Larry King recently, and Ben barely got a word in. They were promoting the new DVD box sets (which I would love, btw). With about 3 minutes left, Larry King asks Ben "So why Chinese food?"
I didn't see anything before that related to that so I was totally confused. Larry asked him two or three more questions about chinese food, but I didn't hear that he was a chef.
For all I knew, Ben had just been eating a lot of Chinese food since the show ended.
