Hey Jasper! (wherever you are)
Tell me about Tiger Woods 07 on 360. I've seen you play a lot of it and I'm really feeling the urge to pick it up. Prior to a few months ago, I'd never played much of a Tigah Woo game, but I picked up a $20 copy of 06 and dug it, though it felt a little thin and the career progression was stifling. Is 07 worth picking up? I know 08 is only a few months off, but if I pick up and play a fair amount of 07 in the near future, I can possibly be ready to nab a review copy of 08 when it drops.
Drop some words!
Also, on a completely unrelated note, I just listed nine games on eBay (and a handful of DVDs). Man, that cash is gonna be sweet. Probably list a few more in the next week (perhaps Super Paper Mario).

After getting burned out on Rogue Galaxy's hunt and insectron sidequests, I decided to quit playing that for awhile and go back to Prince of Persia: Warrior Within since I quit playing it for two months. So... I beat it with the bad ending, but I didn't know how to get the good ending until it was too late and I don't want to play through it (or a good portion of it) again. Now I just need to go through The Two Thrones again since I just went through the other two and WW was the only one missing from my collection. But now, I've gone back to playing Ico and will hopefully be through that in a couple weeks. Then decision time. Do I:
a) Buy Ratchet and Clank. For some reason I've been really wanting to play a good, simple platformer, and it seems to be the best of the bunch.
b ) Buy Resident Evil 4. I've wanted to play something action-y and scary, and many people list this game among the best game of any kind the past generation.
c) Buy God of War... simply because I never beat it when I previously played it and I want to get II eventually.
Most will say B for certain, but I think I'm leaning more towards A. If it's good, I'll have the entire series (sans the last one, if everyone is right about it) to look forward to picking up.

hey hey! tiger woods is a fun game, but pretty much every time you see me playing it, it's actually my dad on the 360. I never really played much of '06, but I'm pretty sure '07 has a few more courses. i'm not sure how much '07 is going for price-wise at the moment though. also, i think i read that the developers of madden were taking over for '08, so who knows what kind of changes are going to be in store. All they really need to do is keep adding courses and possibly make putting not so damn hard. if they could also throw in some more reaction animations for the crowd when i beam them, that would be great as well.

Resident Evil 4 --> Ratchet & Clank --> God of War. In that order.
I'm heading to San Diego in a week and a half to go to some two-day Sony thing where I'm hoping to play R&C for PS3 (they're taking us to a Padres game, too!). I may also be going on an emergency trip to the Bay Area on Tuesday... if so, I'll be in Cali for a solid week between two trips over the next week and a half. Yikes!
Oh, and thanks for replying, Jasper. I had a chance to get one for $35 on eBay, but passed. I'll probably wait a few weeks and see what I can get it for then.

Well, I went with choice A. I wanted something a bit lighter, plus I found an acceptable copy online for $4.99 plus shipping. RE4 will most definitely be a summer purchase though since all I'm doing is catching up on my PS2 and XBox titles I've missed over the last four years when I first entered the last generation of gaming officially. I think I'm going to sell my copy of Shadow Hearts Covenant, too, since I got little enjoyment of it the last time I fired it up...

i played and beat a handful of DS games over the last couple days.

Great game, really back to the basics sonic stuff, but fuck that anime-furry cat thing, I never played as her nor did the game force you to, thank God.
Currently working on this one:

I also started the new Megaman but they wanted me to walk around a town so I immediately deleted it. Then I started playing pogeymanz and I beat some Gym trainer and then caught an Abra. Then I started playing Mario Kart DS onlne and destroying everyone. They let you draw a flag in the game as your icon or whatever so I drew a big boner with huge hairy nuts as mine so any seven year old playing against me has a big dick on their screen.
So yeah, the DS has taken over my life. Phoenix Wright is classic shit too, goddamn.
I also started FF3 and Children Of Mana, but didn't get more than a couple minutes in.

Halo 3 Beta last night. 'Twas fun. Good to be back in the multiplayer. I haven't played much of GoW's, partly because it just even as close to as fun. The new control scheme takes a bit of getting used to. The 360 controller offers just enough modifications from the original to make it tricky, and the new HUD display is different, too.
That being said, the 4 games of team skirmish that I played were as much fun as I've had gaming in a long time.
If I'm on and someone wants to play, my gamertag = Surface 360

man, no more ice climbers though? that was my team! oh well.
I have a question for all the Smash players. When I used to play with my friends, we would always play with weapons on. Then like two years ago before I left CA, I played with some of my friend's brothers friendses(es), but they played with weapons off which I thought at the time was so retarded. They ended up totally kicking our asses which shocked me cause I thought my friends were like the best at that game.
Is it very common not to play with weapons/items? We didn't play with all the weapons(that laser gun we would never use, and some other things). It's fucking fun hiding those mines on walls and knocking fools into the mines. I never watched those hardcore MLG players or whatever. It was just such an ego killer. Sorry, I'm rambling, but I hope they include online play, or I'm not gonna buy it.

I decided recently that I'm gonna fill the gaps in my GC collection, actually; haven't bought a game for that system in exactly two years. Figure I might as well, seeing as I got an NTSC GC back in late 2001 (switchable US/JPN from Hong Kong) and I'm likely to get a PAL Wii, so no compat. I can't believe that for my first import console I got so burned. After living with SNES, I thought there would be no drawbacks to going NTSC. Then the PAL version was released for 130 quid, with fucking RGB output and the lot.
