I have no intention of sitting through the album on the account that I think BSSM, Californication and By The Way aren't very good. They all felt like double albums anyway, especially BSSM.

Well say you didn't like Oasis aside one or two songs on a couple of their albums and despite trying you just don't like it. Would you waste time downloading a double album and listen to it for two hours? Half the bloody album will end up being singles at any rate.

Why back in my day it took an hour to download a whole song. I refuse to believe anyone can actually complain about downloading speeds these days.

I'm digging the title track. It has the same sort of vibe as the title track from Californication.

There had been alot of talk about the band going back to the earlier funky feel in alot of the songs, but i'm really preferring the ballads.

For every good song, there seems to be alot of filler/b-side quality songs. Double albums are great when there is a conceptual need for them. Or to seperate a mood - like having the first disc rock out and the second disc be slow acoustic stuff. I can't help but think they could have dropped alot of these songs and just released a solid single disc. It just seems like there isn't really a flow. Just a collection of a bunch of different songs with alot of different moods.

Taking Back Sunday

The Foo Fighters did that on their last album and it sucked.

That is true. But did the Foo Fighters album suck because of the rock and acoustic disc format or did it suck because the songs just weren't very good?

I'm going with the latter.

Nobody was more disappointed about that Foo Fighters album than me. I was looking really forward to it after reading Dave Grohl mention how the previous record wasn't very good, and he realized that, and that this was some of the best stuff the band had done since The Colour and the Shape.

It's really strange how the band was so much better when it was basically just Dave Grohl doing everything in the studio, and then having the band just to play the stuff live. But now that they are all involved with the songwriting and stuff, the band has gotten lame.

I liked One By One alot, i thought TINLTL was awful, and I think Hawkins had some good stuff, but I saw them live and they phoned it in, I've pretty much given up on them.
