Can't find it either. Anyone know anything? Kind of weird, the whole thing. RTCM leaked completely out of nowhere and since then I've heard nothing official about it.
Love the album though. Oh, and hi everyone.

listening again to the new Walkmen again (promo copy of it was in my mailbox when i got home, along w/ the new Sonic Youth, Snow Patrol, & Wolfmother, w00t)... not terrible or anything, just not really doing a ton for me either i guess... Emma is def the one song i like more than the rest so far...
kinda solidifies that i'm def gonna go see EoDM for the first time over the Walkmen (seen them like 5-6 times since '02) in June tho

I dont see the problem with the new Walkmen. It's not as good as "BnA" but it's pretty good. Alot of it sounds like a New Oreleans Shoegaze band covering a methed out Dylan, and that's good to me.

The new Walkmen is good it's just not as sad and drunken as the other two. Everyone Who Pretended to Like Me was really desperate and depressed and B+A started to rock a bit more but still kept those sad moments (like "Siobhan" or "No Christmas While I'm Talking") The new one just doesn't seem to have many of those moments, and when it does it just doesn't seem as profound. I don't know. That's just my initial impression.

most labels require at least a three month turn around from when final product (tapes/mastering/artwork) is in so they can make sure there are no problems with anything that may delay the release date they set for the distro's, etc. plus then they can properly work it to radio and press. and make sure the artist is totally sick of it by the time it comes out. which helps when they tour it for the next year. biz-ness.

I think this is a good first analysis of the album. I only listened to it once last night and my initial thought is that it's going to take a while to grow on me. Definitely not as sad and drunk as the other two. In fact, I only recently got the first one and I can see myself listening to that one a little more over the next little while than the new one. My initial impression, anyway.

About the new Walkmen album:
- There's a higher-quality version out there (230-240 kbps).
- Track 8 (apparently labeled "Tenleytown", after being mislabeled "This Job Is Killing Me") is just bad and doesn't suit The Walkmen.
- Track 2 ("Danny's At The Wedding") is OK, shouldn't have been put in the 2nd spot, though. I'd push it to near the end of the album. I wasn't impressed until "Good For You's Good For Me" (track 3) kicked in.
- Otherwise, great album.

There are loads of different file sharing sites, therefore the best thing to do is experiment with them and see which one's best.
In my opinion there are far worst sites than megaupload as I have recently found out.

You don't have to register. Megaupload is pretty easy. There is a thing that pops up called "megaupload links" and it usually covers up where you need to click to download. All you need to do is close that pop up (upper right) and it should be fine.

try this instead (for the bob pollard albums)
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=NY4HKJVRyou have to wait for the countdown on the upper right side to finish, then a small window will open in front of it (there's an orange x to close it, click it). then you'll be able to click where the countdown text was to start the download.
i don't like megaupload myself, but i was given this link by someone else.

My only beef with megaupload is that it's a little slow at times, but the best part is that the links stay active a hell of alot longer.
