Last Pornos tour was probably the last time that Bejar tours with the group for a while. According to an interview with Bejar in the new issue of Fader (with Danny B. gracing the cover), he points to such (and possibly a worse future with his involvement in the group altogether!).

neither Bejar or Neko are touring w/ NP on this upcoming tour

last fall was actually the first and only time Dan has ever toured w/ NP too, outside of local Pac NW shows (maybe even just Vancouver?)

also, anybody who is on Oink, could you download the Forest Fire record? i can't get it to go for me at home for some reason

There's a really cute kids album on Paper Bag called See You on the Moon that surfaced tonight. Broken Social Scene, Sufjan, Junior Boys, Apostle of Hustle, Montag, and others.

Quite frankly, it's a bit too precious for little kids (there's no way I can picture my own nieces actually enjoying this), but grown-ups will dig this a lot. Quite nice.

Sunset Rubdown is Spencer Krug (Wolf Parade/Frog Eyes)'s new project. this album is pretty fucking fantastic. i'm on my second listen right now and loving all but maybe 1-2 tracks.

this might appeal to people who didn't really get into Wolf Parade even (although it does sound similiar in spots)

listening to Bitter Tea now

christ, this first song epitomizes to a T what i don't like most about FF, their musical ADD. the song switches entire instrumentation pieces in split seconds (how do they even pull this stuff off live? the only time i saw them was for Gallowbird's), it's not like it meshes together or anything. i guess it works for some people, but not for me. gimme Single Again, Straight Street, Here Comes Summer, etc. any day.

hoping this rest of this is at least decent...

edit: unfortunately save for a track here or there (maybe 3-4 total for me), def not my thing whatsoever. actually would take Blueberry over this any day.

i will say tho, the production on this thing is squeaky fucking clean. might be one of the cleanest things i've ever heard production wise. even the distortion sounds sheen.

They just play it completly 100% different then it is on the album. I heard a bunch of this stuff last week and I thought Bitter tea was gonna be a heavy guitar driven album...not so much as it seems. In concert this stuff was all distorted guitars and screaming vocals and lots of big drumming and a bass player who seemed hopelessly lost (first show of the tour in his defense though).

I'm about halfway through now and I think fans of the band will really dig this at least I do...but then again I even liked Rehearsing my Choir. If your favorite FF album is EP then this is the album you've been waiting for i think. I doubt this will win them any new fans...unless there's some knock out single in the 2nd half of the album that i haven't heard yet. Uploading to YSI for you guys now....it's slow today
