the problem with the original mylo disc is that "in my arms" is the best track. i'll give you the latest u.s. release 'cuz it has bonus tracks including a better- than- the- original- remix of "in my arms" and "muscle car." it still has all the original tracks as well.

i loved the EP, i don't feel that way at all :-/
really only enjoyed 3 maybe 4 songs all the way through unfortunately. there are a lot more hints of pop, but the music just shifts so freakin' much during single songs that i just get frustrated.
that and i kinda dug when Matt shared vocals some, didn't really hear him much at all on this other than backwards stuff, etc.
but yeah, if you dig FF, you'll like this, if you dislike them, you'll still dislike them. if you're like me and have always kinda been on the fence? who knows...

Listening to the new Herbert album right now and it's very good so far. Very song oriented, a lot like the Roisin Murphy album he produced last year. I can YSI but not until tonight.

Sunset Rubdown is Spencer Krug (Wolf Parade/Frog Eyes)'s new project. this album is pretty fucking fantastic. i'm on my second listen right now and loving all but maybe 1-2 tracks.
this might appeal to people who didn't really get into Wolf Parade even (although it does sound similiar in spots)
Any Chance on getting a repost of this? its already down and i need to hear it.

i'd been needing to clean off a bunch of stuff the last year or so i suppose, but kinda a harsh way to do it
my iPod died which was actually the catalyst to why the parition got hosed up (it's on the same firewire chain). it'd been on it's way out the last few months anyway, but last time i took it to the Apple Store to get replaced (have until Aug on Apple Care), it miracously worked fine at the store. don't think it's gonna this time

i have access to most all of it, but i'd guesstimate there's 15-20 gigs of stuff that i'll never ever recover (various tracks, live stuff, rare tracks, etc.), i do have some stuff backed up at least tho, but i'm so lazy when it comes to burning DVD's, i really need to kick my ass in gear.
but yeah, if there's newer stuff i'd much prefer to d/l a YSI rather than d/l it again from a torrent site and possibly mess up my ratio some.
my other 250 gig drive is just fine (mostly live shows, videos, 30 gigs of random Arcade Fire audio/video/photos, etc.

This may be old news, but holy shit. Destroyer. Again, thanks. This may actually be the best album, for me, of the past two years. Over, even, "Illinoise" (a classic in my book) and "twin cinema."
As newly adopted to the Bejar regime (sux, as you guys noted, that neko and he don't tour with the NP. Ah, well.) off of this album, where should I go next, LPwise?

My introduction came through Streethawk, followed by This Night, then Your Blues. Not a bad way to jump into Bejar's back catalog.

Most would suggest
Streethawk, A Seduction, which is a great album that the majority of Bejars's fans see as his best. I personally prefer
Your Blues; quite offbeat with its MIDI approach, it provided me with some of the greatest listening experiences
I've ever had. Either one of them would make a terrific choice.

Musically, I'd say Bitter Tea has a lot more in common with Rehearsing My Choir than EP or Blueberry Boat, minus grandma. More like spoken-word backing than actual songs. Like that one, I suspect this'll be a "grower", but still won't hold a candle to BB or EP

Actually, I was searching for album reviews, that's how I stumbled across this site. But since I saw the Fiery Furnaces posted, (I've been wanting to hear this for months) what's the harm in asking for a repost. I'm sure lots of other people do too.

Googling the name of a 2006 album with YSI usually ends up with this page being in the top ten results. I agree that there are ways around this, we could take stuff to the mirror board.
It's not really that bad if people find a fresh leak here but when people register just to ask for a reposted album that is avialbe in the shops.
Temporary solution;
Don't write out an album or artists name correctly.
I'm going to edit my posts so we don't have a list of "hot" albums in this thread.

True, I guess I'll just have to make more postings to gain respect here. Most forums welcome new members.

Perhaps it was a mistake to ask for a reup in my first few posts, but the thread was at the top of the threads and it was simply what I saw first.
I thought this site was a music discussion site, sound opinions. If we were looking to download commercially available albums, we would have just registered to a torrent site.
