DUDES!

I really need a quality copy of Bonnie Prince Billy's "I Called You Back," without the empty sound at the end of the song. It's for mix inclusion and that shit won't do, unless I put it at the end of the mix, which I may not end up doing. Help. Please. I'm not cool enough to know how to chop it off, or I would.

here you go man, it has about a 5 second silence now i think

If anyone likes Dredg & knows how to use FLAC files, there's a bunch of live shows here, I tell you:

CODE

+1..including the two shows in Santa Cruz where they did LEITMOTIF and EL CIELO back-2-back nights.

Yup--I was at the 2nd show (el cielo) also the Fillmore show in 12.05 which I think was better than the album they recorded, but can't get the stupid flac files to behave like music.

If I had to vote again the Hold Steady would make my top 20. I didn't give them a fair shake.
CoolerbytheLake
I just don't get the ripping on Hold Steady vocals. He sounds like Phil Lynott and Bruce to me. That boozy hoarseness is perfect for that band. I'll take that all day over say, Dan Bejar's nasally whimpering or Spencer Krug's constant yowling. Having said all that, Boys and Girls disappointed me sorely--for reasons that have nothing to do with the vocals.
Efrim
Alright, mentioned it in the albums thread, but my last two requests for the year are Ghostface and The Husbands. Thanks to everybody who helped me out by upping stuff. I'll try to return the favor sometime.

They've accepted this part of the business a long time ago. They've even gone so far as to encourage people to record their concerts. I'd imagine they're profiting more from their movie soundtracks and television commercials than their actual recordings. They actually pride themselves more for their live shows than their records. Seeing that they're playing much larger venues this time around, this is surely their biggest tour ever. I can't wait.
