Mrs. Pippen and Mrs. Sosa (when they lived here) were notorious spoiled brat customers. A friend of mine who worked for several years at Mario Trocci's in the Gold Coast used to refer to Mrs. Pippen as "No Tippen Pippen", and Mrs. Sosa as "Trash".

Illinois State University Redbirds coach Willie Robinson was the first African-American to coach a Division I basketball team at a predominantly white school when hired by ISU in 1970.
Man, it is hard to find any info out there about Coach Robinson! Anyways, I always thought this was one of the coolest pieces of trivia about ISU.

i think it would be a result of putting too many people up on offense near the box, and leaving 3/4 of the field to be defended by too few players. sort of like getting a short-handed goal in hockey cuz the other team is only focused on offense and not thinking about protecting the net.

The corner thing, I think that the statistic when the study was done in the English Premier League showed that there was a 3% chance you'd score within a minute of winning a corner but a 5% chance you'd concede within a minute due to a swift counter attack or overcompensating in attack. Don't know if the study is on the net, can't find it.

jazz came to mind immediately for us oldsters. heat was right behind it in my mind. magic would've come next had i not seen it already in the subsequent post. and after flipping through the league geographically in my mind for quite a while i had my 'duh' moment with team 4
only 2 of the last 20 heisman winners have (thus far) become nfl all pros (george, woodson). 3 others (d. howard, r. williams, c. palmer) have been to the pro bowl
