Thoughts on the SuperBowl?

Picks?

Predictions?
Nick
After watching both championship games, I think this has the makings to be one of the most entertaing Super Bowls that no one will watch.

Pittsburgh 31 Seattle 24

Each team with a decisive victory, with a large margin of points for a victory should make the bowl a great game.

An all-AFC Superbowl? Ugh.
The Luscious Phil
Of all the AFC teams that started in the play-offs, the Stealers were the last team I wanted in it.

Seahawks will probably own. they might win by a billion.

I'm surprised the Steelers are the favorite to win this thing. Though it'll probably be close, I think Seattle will win.

My guess is that the Steelers would be favored by 2.5. Just a guess though. I don't know if the line is out yet.

Hummmm...

Steelers 4 point favorite, total is at 48...

I'll take the Seahawks +4 and the over.

I think it's gonna be something like...

Pittsburgh 31, Seattle 28...Seattle barely covers.

Matt Hasselbeck has to be the most self-consciously bald celebrity ever. Which is what made it beautiful when Bradshaw was rubbing his bald pate as part of the trophy presentation. This has to be a first, right? A legend from your Superbowl opponent humiliates you during your conference championship celebration--it was beautiful.

Steelers 34
Seahawks 13

Largely because Terry got in Matt's (bald) head.

i'm going to be so sick of hearing about this game in, oh, about 10 minutes.

when do the olympics start?
when is NBA all-star weekend?

A #6 seed is a 4 point favorite over a #1 seed? That seems fishy. Seems to me that Vegas is just begging people to take Seattle. I won't make that mistake.

Seattle had the easiest strength of schedule in the entire NFL this year. They're about to be exposed.

Pittsburgh has the most effective 3-4 defense in the league - they blitz linebackers from multiple angles (just ask Plummer and Manning). Seattle faced only one 3-4 defense this year - against Dallas. In that game against Dallas, the Seattle offfense struggled the entire game (they finally won 13-10 by scoring 10 points in the final 40 seconds). I look for Pittsburgh to jam 9 and 10 men schemes at the line of scrimmage (to contain Alexander) and bump Seattle's non-physical receivers. I look for Pittsburgh's defense to be the critical factor in this game.

One other fact : Outside of their home field, Seattle did not beat 1 team this year with a record above .500. I like my chances with Pittsburgh who just knocked off Cincinnati, Denver, and Indy - all on the road.

Pittsburgh 27
Seattle 10

I think the Steelers pull it out in a nail biter...

Tough call. For the past two weeks, I would've guessed Seahawks, but the Steelers have looked real good, playing a great game. The fact that these two teams haven't played each other all season makes it tougher to call.

I'll stick with Seahawks.
Tony

This is gonna be a great game!

Am I alone in that I find these random, extremely dated thread bumps extremely annoying? I mean, is this bump supposed to be funny?
