I agree. It's phenomenal. I wonder if Damon Albarn is producing the whole album.

oh yeah. this song is really, really good. Saying it sounds like 'african Grandaddy' is pretty spot on. the synths that kick in just before the two-minute mark....shit. so very wonderful.

if this album is even half as good as this song, well then, fuck. loving this thing right now.

One of the only hip-hip albums that has actually caught my attention/made me want to listen to it this year. I'm not sure if that's more a product of less good stuff coming out, or me just not having the ear for it lately. But this is really good.

Wow,I wasn't expecting this at all. This album is frankly amazing and the emotional range put into each of the songs is outstanding.Plus the lyrics, it's like if Dylan decided to start writing the saddest songs possible. I knew from the second Avalanche started that this wouldn't disappoint and it more than exceeded my expectations of it.

I just recently got his first album, "The Songs of Leonard Cohen", and I was blown away. I had always heard about him and I'm a big fan of Jeff Buckley so I was aware that he wrote "Hallelujah"...but holy shit...the second Suzanne started I knew I was about to discover something special.

I can't wait to become familiar with that album before moving on to "Songs of Love and Hate".

Top tenner for sure. Making this day so enjoyable.

I likes it. It’s got a bit more forward momentum than their earlier stuff - flirts with dance music in places, still oodles of distortion though. I was listening to it at about 7 this morning, floating home from a night shift. The first waves of suits were scuttling past me, into the city in opposite direction and this just seemed to fit perfectly.

Phil posted it here.

Links still active.

I tried listening to this the other day and it didn't hold up to me. It's interesting,But it has the same problem most double LP's have, they don't need to be double LP's. There's enough good stuff on here for a single LP,But some of the songs just don't do anything for me.

Such a solid album. Has a bunch of favorites and a couple of tunes I've never heard before. Plus, it has a great opening song(Ramble Tamble is amazing.) and a neat eleven minute version of "Heard It Through The Grape Vine".

Another really solid album. Such a great run of folk Americana styled songs(And I find it quite odd considering these boys are from up north.). Especially the first six songs and King's Harvest(Such a great closer.).
