borrowed this from and friend, and i cant explain why but I am in love. Granted i am only four songs in, but this is a pretty fantastic record (to me at least). it's not like i am saying album of the year, but i wouldnt count it out as of yet.

Listened to this for the first time in a while. The only bad thing about this album is the drums. I hate the fucking drums. They sound like a drum machine. Who records drums like that? Stupid. And Colm or Colin or whoever... his fills are so obnoxious. It's all just "BUDAPUHBUDAPUHBUDAPUHBUDAPUHBUDAPUHBUH!" Oh, and Cinnamon Pooter... "All I Need" sounds nothing like "Candle."

Speaking of Patti Smith...One of my clients was just in and she told me she saw Patti Smith a few times. She also went to a poetry reading in Seattle where she was reading poetry along with Jim Carroll. That had to be interesting.

On a side note, she said Yoko Ono is a bitch and Sean Lennon was a brat. Ha! I could have guessed that.

Just thought I'd share...anything to keep me from getting back to work.

I don't know anything about This Heat, but I keep seeing them mentioned and recommended. What to do they sound like? What's a good album to start with?

I know some folks have some things to say about the original versus the remaster. Apparently the crowd noise is much more prevelant in the original and adds a whole lot to the record. I've yet to hear the original, so I can't make the comparison, but I really do love the copy I have.
