^ I used to hate that album, but I have seen the light. I think Anton Newcombe had a lot to do with that.

We're Gonna Change The World! - The '60s Chicago Garage Sound of Quill ProductionsYes, another Sundazed comp. It's hard to read from the pic, but the top corner says "God speaks in MONO".

The albums right before and right after are the ones in my top five Stones albums, but Satanic Majesties is pretty awesome. The parts where they're just slapping their dicks against the wall and screaming make it feel a bit long, but "The Lantern," "2000 Man," "In Another Land," "Citadel," "2000 Light Years From Home," "She's A Rainbow"... perfectly melodic pop songs.
They might have been venturing too far from their comfort zones, but certainly not out of their winning streak as songwriters.
Actually if taken without the bookends "Sing This All Together" and "On With The Show" (and the "Sing This" reprise), it's nearly a perfect album. Those tracks do make it annoying listen straight-through.
Yeah, but I agree... they quickly reeled it in after this one and achieved a good 3-4 albums of perfection.
it actually is pretty perfect, maybe my favorite Stones record.
