Trey Anastasio -
Bar 17This is actually pretty damn good, I'm willing to say its the best studio disc he's put out since firing up the solo gig full-time. Surprising variety throughout, from the rocking "Dragonfly" and "Mud City" to the slower "Goodbye Head" to the jammed out title track. Maybe it just helps that I got to see quite a few of these tracks played live this summer with the Benevento-Russo duo, but they sound pretty great here. Loads and loads of guests on this disc, including the forementioned Duo as well as Mike and Fishman. If you've yet to dive into solo Trey, give this disc a shot - nice balance between the jam tendencies and the more straightforward rock stuff from
Shine.
And spending some time with 2006 albums I haven't listened to enough, or haven't listene to in awhile:

Film School -
Film School"11:11" is still a killer track, along with several others, but this still hasn't grabbed me as a whole.

The Flaming Lips -
At War with the MysticsThis one certainly ain't getting any better with time.

Oneida -
Happy New YearAnother solid release by these guys, but still not the drop-dead killer I know they have in them.
