....no. conan is taped live earlier int he day at 6pm. so, right about now they are taping the show that will be played at 1137pm later on. they never pre-tape interviews (except paul mccartney), especially band performances.

alrighty then ms. smartypants, i realize that, but Feist & Collett are out on tour right now and were just in Iowa the other night and are in Columia, MO tomorrow night, so i guess they're flying her to NYC just to play w/ BSS, which is feasible, just surprising

i don't think it's too surprising.
they want their strongest line up for a television appearance on a popular program and flying to missouri from ny is, what, like 2 hours? i think they can maybe handle it.
or maybe it'll be the feist robot i heard about last month. the one they built so she could be performing bad music at two places at the same time.

Jan 31 2006, 06:54 PM
not that surprising, just a bit hectic for her. although come to think of it, she was on Conan the night before her first US show last July in Minneapolis too...
as for the strongest lineup, if that's the case i hope Emily is there too, those two really make the studio version of the song shine.

If that's the new girl they brought out on tour recently, she's definitely not strong enough replace Feist onstage.
A couple weeks after the Chicago show, she seemed a lot more comfortable than how people were initially describing.

I thought it was awesome, but my roommate didn't like them very much. But that's probably because he's kind of a tool that got caught up in the fact that there were about 6 guitar players on stage. And I don't think he actually likes music for any reason other than that he can sing along to it and hear his own voice.

I don't know man. Love the song, love the band, loved seeing them on, but I didn't really expect a TV show to have a great mix of the song, and I wasn't far off.
Looked great, sounded great (in my head), sounded really awkward on the actual show. But awesome to see.
