A cursory glance at the XM pamphlet at stores and it would appear the music is better, but not having heard it, I have no reference.
I'm not a sports guy, but I'd prefer to have MLB over NFL...but Stern's where it's at, so I'm good.

Did you hear the Steve Dahl audio that Stern was played last week? Dahl was being interviewed and said Stern won't last because he has no rules to fight against. Rachyl Hunter being called a cunt was classic as well last week. I'm actually listening to Friday's show as we speak. I would like more howard replays on the weekends and less Howard 100 news replays.

I did not hear this. Unfortunate, but I don't listen to Dahl anymore. I've become a fan of Bubba the Love Sponge's.

Yes! Hearing Bubba's Friday replay on Saturday was a lot of fun and I'd love more of this. The news should only be on twice a day for an hour a piece.

i think howard only wants the show replyed once (8pm CST, H101) becuase he doesn't want it to get oversaturated or whatever. he's always been very protective of the show and where and how often it gets played.
it would be great to have a "best of" that ran on the weekends with the Rachel Hunter stuff from the past week, the revelations, etc. who knows, maybe they have something in the works for that.

You have to expect Dahl to defend himself the way he did, even though I can't believe he thinks he's talking about his own show. When does Dahl ever push the envelope? With all that dead air? Come on.
Anyway, Howard's show has been great. Any fans who didn't come along are missing out. Can't get into Bubba though. His voice sounds too much like Mancow to me. That's a deal breaker.
It took me about three listens to be finished with that H100 News show. It's horrible. Like a comedian explaining why his jokes are funny.

I would like to agree with the Howard 100 news sucking. I have no interest whatsoever. I've been claiming that the channels in general are just plain overkill. A 5 hour show a day is enough for me, I can't do the intern show, the post stern show, the superfan roundtable show where they talk about the show and on and on and on. I am however interested in the other original programming he has planned.

Sirius sports is confusing. So much sports that you can never find what you're looking for. If you're at home you can easily go to the website, but on the road you'll be turning the dial until you wrist get sore (or you hit the car in front of you). From what I've been told, XM's sports is all lumped together and is much easier to find. I'm nitpicking, but I think my complaint is a valid one.

They're all over the place. Here's tomorrow evenings college basketball schedule:
12:00 AM Utah State @ Nevada 126
7:00 PM Buffalo @ Bowling Green 122
7:00 PM Creighton @ Southern Illinois 107
7:00 PM Georgetown @ Notre Dame 181
7:00 PM Kent State @ Miami of Ohio 159
7:00 PM Kentucky @ Auburn 117
And this competes with the NBA and NHL. Saturdays are even more confusing, but you get my point.

Howard gave everyone an update on his Charlie Rose interview. He's not doing it tonight because Charlie had to go out of town. He's not going to reschedule either because he was doing it as a favor for something he set up months ago.

I got mine at Sirius.com. The receiver was $60 and it came with a $30 gift card. It took all of 10 minutes to set up in the car.

This is what I have:

Paid $50.00 bucks for it at Best Buy, and if you have a satellite compatible radio in your car, it's hand's down the best way to go. It's hidden behind the dash or under the seat, so it keeps the radio in-dash and you don't have any wires or clunky units hanging off your dashboard. It also gets better reception than the stand alone units. Only downside is the display is limited to whatever your car stere can produce, and you can't move it inside your home. On a tangent, if you have an aftermarket car stereo that says it's XM ready, there's adapters so you can still buy a sirius tuner (and vice versa).

I bought Sirius a little over a year ago. It's an Audiovox SIR-HK3 (I think no longer in production), which was right on the cusp of better technology. I paid $99 for it, plus an extra $50 for the car kit which was needed at the time. Months later I see that you really don't even need the car kit with some of the newer receivers. I mean, hell, some of them just clip on your visor. I got hosed, but I'm coming in loud and clear. My after market stereo is XM compatible, and I'm considering going with both but that seems like overkill to me. I'll probably just stick with Sirius.
Of course, I recommend Crutchfield.com for your purchase. This is where I bought mine, and I can't say enough how helpful and courteous they are. If you will install it yourself I don't think you could find a better place to shop. They'll send you free directions and offer phone assistance (but the directions are so good I've never had to use them). Good luck tager.

I don't listen to it for extended periods but they play a ton of rare unreleased and live stuff so I flip to it all the time. Plus, they play a full concert every night of the week. As a huge Springsteen fan w/out a lot of bootlegs, that's what I'm really gonna miss.
