Is the Pixies' download only iTunes exclusive "Bam Thwok" eligible?

I would think so, although why someone would put it on their list is a whole different question.

it's a seven-track EP*, so it would have to count for the lp list

* I know you knew that but it'll save bill time when he comes round to make an official decision

edit: shoulda voted for the continental comp on the lp list, oops

We're counting Wire's Read & Burn pair, correct?

Why would anyone vote for Chris Gaines or Afroman?

1 Pulp - Common People

this will be #1 on our singles list without a doubt.

it's a song pretty much everyone can agree on...
The Good Dr Bill
maybe right, but god I hope not
kilgore trout
Yeah, it'll probably take the top spot, but I'm placing exactly one song ahead of it.

why on earth would you hope not?

how could anyone be disappointed with that song taking top honors?
The Good Dr Bill
what? It's good, but not great. Overrated.

Well I did my part, dammit! I probably prefer Disco 2000, but I want Pulp to win so I went with Common People. No Radiohead, Wilco, Franz, Strokes, U2, or REM from me. Not a single garbage point. My biggest mistake was ranking "Hey Ya!" Shit.

It's gonna be on mine, only it will be the William Shatner version. Never heard a Pulp song in my life, I think.

Was this a single? If I actually get my shit together and vote this will surely be top 10 if it's eligible.

EDIT: Never mind, it's listed on discogs as a single. Now, how it failed to be a hit will always be a mystery to me.

What about Nirvana's "You Know You're Right"? Eligible or not?

Question for Dr Bill.

What if a song was released to radio as a single from an album released in 2001, then in 2005, a new studio record was released with that same single on it although a slightly different version (louder guitars) but this time a video was made. Which one is eligible. Both time the single was released to radio and made a blip on the Adult Contemporary charts. unsure.gif

R. Kelly - Step in the Name of Love [Remix]

The feel good song of the century. Dear lord. Tell me that don't set you right.

Saint Etienne - Action

I think, the best of their anthemic dance rockers. Somehow the Mr. Joshua remix is even more massive.

Jay-Z - Girls, Girls, Girls

The best positive rap about the playboy lifestyle since "If I Ruled The World." And the video fits it perfectly. Jay's trying on a few different hats here. They all fit great. So many great lines...

The Coup - Me & Jesus the Pimp in '79 Granada Last Night

The most ridiculously awesome hip-hop story around.

Kylie Minogue - Love at First Sight

That album had more than one great single, you know. In my opinion, perhaps the greatest French disco song ever recorded. Kylie looks so great I had to bump up the box.

Depending on how you classify dance/pop it may be the best album of it's genre I've heard. As a full disc it's better than anything Madonna has ever recorded and as much as people seem to like Fever, I still don't think it gets the credit it deserves.

The Good Dr Bill
If I remember, Fever is still far from flawless--three amazing singles and an equally great opener, but the rest didn't impress me much.
