yeah, not one of my favs. Awesome by turn-of-the-century R&B standards, but only so-so by Aaliyah/Timbo standards

So, I figured I'd get in the spirit of things, and listen to everything that I had previously brushed off.
I hate that ASH song. So damn sing-songy. Well, maybe that isn't it, since I like BDB. But this song is really horrible.

I love the go team song (and the video), voted for wilco and morphine.

Most everything else just bored me. I'd give the Jens Lenkman a bigger shot, had some interesting things going on, just a little.....bland?. The production on the Aaliyah is pretty cool.

"Girl From Mars" is great. It sounds like Dinosaur Jr. and has four solos. We are off to a good start here.

Heh.. at this rate, I'd be happy to see anything from my list in this chart ...

I made the worst singles list of all time, forgetting The Good Life and about a zillion other songs I love, but I did vote for Jens at every opportunity. Let's hope "You are the light" does better.

I'm with you on 'Are You That Somebody' - that's nearly 'Try Again' level. The rest I quite like, but not on that level. 'Try Again' is special pop for me. Somewhere below 'Crazy' and above 'Toxic'.

"Shady Lane" seems awful low.

Good list thus far. It's nice to see all the middling rock like Pete Yorn go out early. I hope this bodes well for the Jaxx and all things electronic, homosexual and/or kittenish in nature.

Streets song is easily the best thing we've seen. The Rokysopp remix is one of the best musical encapsulations of the dance culture I know of. It's "Losing My Edge" for British blokes.

Pete Yorn track is great.

I dunno why Shady Lane isn't higher.

I feel like I like the streets, but I don't think I really like any of the things posted on people's singles lists. I'll have to review further.
