I've still only seen it once, even though it was my #3 movie that year. And, the book is the one good story my wife and I have about us dating.

Really a terribly bland movie.

Picked this up on a whim yesterday for $20. Man, I've been missing out. Through six eps already, may watch another one or two tonight. Will probably purchase season two in the next few days.

We've been plodding our way through the final season of Six Ft Under. I have to say that I wish the entire cast would just drop dead. What a miserable lot they are. At this point, I feel like we're going to watch to the bitter end if for no other reason than to justify the time we've spent thus far on it. But, man, what a total downer.

I thought the final season was a return to form for the show. The series final episode, might be the best TV series finale ever

Caught this over the weekend. I enjoyed it a lot, even though the ending was somewhat predictable.

Beautifully filmed, and the magic show scenes were, well, "magical."

Aristocrats

Geez am I glad I didn't waste my money on seeing this in the theatre. Talk about repetitive..
I know this was supposed to be some edgy doc about the unspoken joke and then having it heard it 30 ways to Sunday it doesn't really present itself to be all that amazing. In fact, in some cases, it showed even less calibur on the part of the comedians who told it.

The funny bits were actually the three comedians who decided to tell a different joke. Perhaps it's the overhyped effects of it being drawn out for so long but I was less than enthused about it.

Flightplan

I've never been on one of these enormous planes before (double decker in particular) and I guess being used to your standard sized variety. I couldn't help but weigh this on the fact that there's no flippin way someone would be hauling around a plane like that and I was even more reluctant to buy into the idea that this internal-hijack method was or would even be possible. I guess if you can really get past all that and see it as mindless entertainment, it's palletable-but just barely.

'Allo 'Allo

More of a soap-opera with comedic bits, I must admit that I haven't really found myself falling outta the sofa laffin' as I do with most BBC comedies. However, the story is weaving itself together in such a way that it's got a hook in me. Basically, it revolves around a simple cafe owner in German-occupied France during WWII. He's just trying to keep his extramarital affairs a secret while staying in business while the war rages all around. Of course, that means he has to serve German soldiers, which pisses off the resistance so they force him to smuggle soldiers and supplies under threat of death. But if the Germans discover this, they'll kill him as well. So yeah, I've been watching the series unfold because, well, I wanna know what happens next.

Just got this from Netflix and caught the first few minutes before being interrupted by life:
IPB ImageThis project was begun as a documentary on Jackie O., but when the filmmakers met these mother and daughter relatives of Jackie, all bets were off and the film's focus became on them and their eccentricities.
