This is an album for young intelligent black people. If you a homeboy and you have love for your young beautiful black sista, this is what you need. If you go to black college and want to be an upstanding citizen, this is 4 you also. Its is really the most sophistcated r&b of the last 20 yrs. If you just want a quick shag, holla at R. Kelly. He got that nasty shit 4 you. ( still like R kelly just pointing certain shit out).

Lets start with Lady. When the last time a young black man called a woman a Lady? Probably in the 70's/ Is it a wonder we have women like Superhead and Carmen when all they get called is bitches and ho's by these young insecure knuckleheads who aren't man enough to treat a woman like a woman, not a washing or dicksucking machine.

U're my lady, yeah, when my shorty forgive me for getting with her homegirl, we can listen to this together. Come on, D'angelo everyone want to be this cat. Cool, in the cut, not overexposed, crazy talent. He is the modern Donny Hathaway. No lie.

Brown Sugar, yep, a black man saying he like brown sugar, and not a cracka, well, I never. Who would have though that in the day of coons and shuffling dominating the airwaves that a young man would put the dignity back into our beautiul black sisters.

Cruisin. Yep, before street jacking dominated the freeways, what better than takng a romantic trip with your one and only. Most balck women in cars are used to giveing head then getting kicked the fuck out before a nigga reach his destination. But this is how they should be treated.

This album is just full of classics,

Higher, When We Get By, Smooth, ME and Those Dreamin Eyes of Mine, etc. This really is a beautiful piece of music artistry and the best album in any genre of 1995. I dont know why this cat take 10 yrs to do a album, but its always worth it, so lets salute the boy D'angelo.

I like Voodoo more. But (for lack of a better comparison) it's like The Godfather: The sequel may be better but it's not the original.

I always thought the song "Brown Sugar" was about weed. "Cruisin'" is a Smokey Robinson tune.

he's on the new snoop album and he sounds great. i read an interview with ?uestlove who said d'angelo is a very insecure person so i guess he is sensitive about his material. but hopefully he can come back soon wiith a whole album.

d'angelo def makes "imagine" w/ dre & snoop one of the best songs this yr.

i get too lost in voodoo, and prefer brown sugar. it's like bitches brew to a kind of blue, something like that. both albums are way beyond great, shit is supernaturally great.

New D' demo. "Really Love", leaked by Questlove to an Australian radio station(from what I hear). I like where this record could be going. Obviously the sound quality is going to get better, but this has a nice little addictive grove.

Very nice to hear him back on one of his own tracks. Honestly didn't think there would be another record.
