i just keep listening to their record over and over. i can't stop. easily my favorite of the year so far.

I really like the Film School disc alot. "Breet" is an awesome track. And I think it's my favorite album cover of the year, hands down.

Is there an active YSI for it, or can someone up one? I was looking around for this the other day and couldn't find it on SoulSeek or elsewhere.

Yeah, this is a very nice album...not that it went away or anything, but it's nice to see shoegazer returning.

check out N. Lannon's last solo record as well, it's def more singer/songwriter (can YSI if interested).

i guess he has a new one out this year as well. these guys have actually been around almost 10 years now, but somehow only managed to put out 2 full lengths.

i don't know about this, it's not grabbing me yet. i like the guitars and the dreamy thing. but i'm trying to get past the guy's voice, which i think is very bad, and often forced.

i like the "he's a deep deep lake" song better than "breet." actually, i QUITE like "deep deep lake."

i'm going to give this more time, since they're ripping off one of my all-time favorite bands.

Of all the albums that remind me of the albums I listened to when I was a kid, the Film School album is by far the best.

gorgeous music ruined by a lyrically immature vocalist.

on good days i can tone him out on 11:11 because instrumentally that song rules.

i'm really happy they are playing with kiss me deadly 'cuz i don't feel as bad about going to see a band i'm not totally happy with. kiss me deadly though, are wonderful.

Hideout is so late 80s Creation records-ey.
I like it for that very reason.
Reminds me of Ride, and a little bit of Kitchens of Distinction.
No standout tracks to me yet, but the whole thing feels like fall to me, so its perfect for today.
