Best Thread Ever!

Quick story - In high school, senior year in 1996 (suburbs of Ft. Worth Texas) my best friend was at the mall. Richard Simmons was there signing his book at a bookstore. My friend always had a Polaroid camera in his car, so he ran and got it to see if he could get a picture.

He goes up to Richard and says "Mind if we get a picture?" and Simmons just screams (nasally, sassy) "OKAY LET'S DO IT!"

He had on his short shorts and tank top of course, and in the picture he's got his arm around my friend, and one of his legs kicked out front, about parallel with his waist. Right in the middle of the mall with all these people staring.

He got it blown up and laminated. That damn 10x12 picture has been on the refrigerator of all five apartments I lived in in college in Texas, and all three of my apartments in Chicago. I don't have a scan of it, but will see if I can take a picture tonight.

Doesn't this belong in the Sirius thread?

As in "get sirius" about fitness?

In the mid-eighties, one of my rather connected (i.e., lotsa celeb clientele) coke dealers told me that Richard Simmons was a major, major free-baser. Which is a sure way to lose weight quickly, as well as act all nutz, both symptoms displayed by Mr. Simmons. Probably isn't any more, I would guess.
Three different dealers told me the same about Tony Curtis. Hah. Tony Curtis.
