I bet its PJ Harvey, Pearl Jam, Nirvana and other depressing shit.

Haha, we on some Michael Jackson round my folks place, that christmas album he and his brothers did. all the old school soul greats, just perfect for this timeof year. NAt King Cole for gramps when he wanna do the ol shuffle.

I kinda miss out on xmas music. All the best xmas music mentions snow and winter - and it seems really out of place on a day where it's the middle of summer and the temperature's over 100 degrees (as you Northern Americans would measure it).
Hector Gilbert
I'd say a lot of people were listening to James Brown yesterday

Also, the album "A Nancy Wilson Christmas".

My brother played me some Christmas song by Girls Aloud, and it's amazing.

Other than that, Jim Jones Dipset Xmas, Helios and the third Sigur Ros.

What's the best kind of Christmas? A White Christmas, of course...
Pavement Ist Rad
I listened to Neil Young and Disco Inferno.
Moo & Oink
Everybody I know listens to Perry Como & Tony Bennett.
Elia Isquire
Motown Christmas.

This year I bought my fiancee "Off the Wall" by MJ coincidentally. The first half of it is tremendous, mostly to Quincy Jones' credit. The intricacies of the horn lines are so humbling, yet tasteful.

I also like the Charlie Brown Christmas album.
Freddie Freelance
Christmas with Korla Pandit (which reminds me, I have to email Uncle Richie Unterberger a correction to the Korla Pandit bio on AllMusic.com)
Crock O'Christmas - Ren & Stimpy
A John Waters' Christmas - VA (I currently have "Santa Clause is a Black Man" stuck in my head)
Christmas with the Rat Pack If for no other reason than for Dean & Frank duetting on "Marshmallow World."

A Christmas Gift for You from Phil Spector

I think I actually have, in my hands, the whitest Christmas music ever.

My father does accounting part-time for some firm in the city. This year, they gave him a Christmas cd, made by them. It's called the XXXX [name of the firm] Orchestra, and it's just Christmas songs compiled by this firm. It's incredible. It has the company logo on it. I don't even care what the songs are.

Imagine if you had a nightmare, and someone could take a picture of that nightmare. Then, they used that picture as an album cover. This would be that.

What's wrong with the Howdy Doody Christmas Party record? It's actually really cool!
Duff.
It's amazing how many times a day the theme song finds its way into my mind. And I really enjoy the climax of the record SPOILER ALERT when Mr. Bluster is mustering up the strength to say Merry Christmas.

That aside, that is one horrifying cover image there.
