I was watching some Curtis Mayfield from an early eighties show from ON Demand over the weekend. Kick ass stuff. Good funk, soul and rock. I don't remember a horn section but Curtis Mayfield can't be touched.

Jigga, you should check out The Jam's Beat Surrender EP. They do a pretty respectable cover of that tune (with horn section of course), as well as a few others.

I'll YSI if I can dig it out.
