Supposedly the whole thing's going to be up there. I think they're having trouble uploading it right now though. Just figured some people would like to know and I was too lazy to find a proper thread for it.

I'm hanging out for this and The Klaxons album to leak... both should be imminent though.

Fingers crossed, but I'm pretty sure I have little use for Damon outside of Blur. Never got Gorillaz, and Herculean didn't leave an impression. Here's hoping.

Well the main MySpace page said it was up "exclusively" on MySpace, but I think they're having technical troubles with it and only History Song is up right now.

I have to say though. From what I've heard of History Song this could be a very great album. It's very chill and laid back. I think it's going to be one of those late night albums along with Kid A, Loveless, and Adore.

I realized I just put it up with some classic albums (Adore is a matter of opinion, personally it's my favorite Pumpkins album but a lot of people hate it). I'm just saying it's a late night album, not as good as them.

Though it very well could be for all I know.

Wasn't this band never supposed to actually be called The Good The Bad and The Queen? I thought it was the album title but they didn't have a name for the band yet. Or did they just decide to go with that, since that's what they'd have been called by fans anyways?

I don't know about that I didn't pay too close attention. But the whole thing is up now

Excerpt: "Making it clear that the 'The Good The Band And The Queen' was the album's title and not the new group's name - "We haven't got a name at all, we're nameless!"

So someone really needs to rip this.

What a great album. Not an overblown mess like most 'supergroups' turn out to be, it's a pretty understated affair with 12 solid simple songs. And although it's mostly pretty quiet, I do enjoy the crazy psychadelic jam it ends with.

I'm bored so I'm ripping it to mp3 from myspace now. It's going to sound pretty shitty because the quality on myspace is awful and it's getting transcoded two times for me to capture it to wav and then convert it back to mp3, but whatever. I'll upload it when it's done. Odds are there will be a few weird skips in there too because the myspace stream is screwing up and I don't feel like rerecording a bunch of tracks to get rid of little fuck ups.
Hans Christian Anderson
now i know this has been covered 1000 times but the group is damon, dangermouse, paul from the clash and who else?
dano
Tony Allen, drummer from Fela Kuti's band.

edit: Also Simon Tong, guitarist from The Verve/Blur.

Like I said before the quality here is pretty poor. The songs on the myspace page have pops and skips so my audio capture does too, plus the degradation of quality that happens during the capturing process.

hmmm, finally got myspace to work. not sure it was worth it sad.gif

it just sounds like a slowed down gorillaz with the hip hop and slick cartoon production removed. i can't honestly see what anybody but damon is doing and he was already spread thin before this. i certainly see no afrobeat influence. kingdom of doom, herculean and history song are ok but i just don't see the point of a new band, it just seems like a new gimmick to me.

i'll give it a few more goes though, it might grow into a good album but certainly not a relevation.

Here's another .zip file...quality is so poor it must be a myspace rip:

This one has a bit rate of 128, but I guess it doesn't matter if it's a stream. Anyways, good way to sample the album without feeling you're "stealing".
