site features lots of live concerts as well. Here are the B & S & Neko blurbs they have up. I haven't played the show yet, but thought it might be of interest to many of you.

Belle and Sebastian defined the chamber pop sound of the '90s with precious, whimsical melodies set against a backdrop of richly orchestrated arrangements. The band's new CD is a bit of a departure from their previous work, drawing on a mix that includes classic Kinks and Motown.

As a singer for New Pornographers, Neko Case is known for artful pop. But as a solo artist, Case leans more toward classic country. Her new CD features the country rock band The Sadies (featured on All Songs Considered episode 69), members of Calexico and Garth Hudson, a legendary keyboardist for The Band.

Tom Waits doesn't tour a lot, and when he does, tickets are hard to come by. But you can hear the final U.S. concert from Waits' most recent tour here, or download the show by subscribing to the All Songs Considered Live Concerts podcast. In the meantime, this week's episode of All Songs features an excerpt from that performance. Also, hear Martin Quinn and Angelina Carberry share their Irish tradition; Celtic music from Cape Breton, with the spectacular fiddle of Kimberley Fraser; and African-inspired sounds with a distorted twist in the music of NOMO. And lovers of great pop music won't want to miss new music by The Silent Years and Brendan Canning of Broken Social Scene.
