This thread is a fucking goldmine, should have started visiting a long time ago.

I have been hammering those Starkey tracks, fucking love that sound. Him, Joker and Zomby are my fav electronic producers at the moment.

No problem Mr. Lea, thank you.

Don't ask him, he'll deny it! But if it hadn't already been confirmed by pretty much every publication out there (that has covered his stuff) by now, you can just tell from the sounds he uses. Looking forward to his fourth 12 which is supposed to be out this month.

In other news, Scuba's new LP Triangulation is out March 22 (on Hotflush, duh).

More generally, Caspa, but that shit's boring. Listen to Dubstep Allstars Vol. 1 from back in the day for some hard beats.

Looking forward to hearing the Ayhun mix. Speaking of The Knife related stuff, the Van Rivers 12 that came out last year is well worth a listen (if it's not already been posted to the thread).

And the FACT mixes are indeed great. One of the few pages I bother to keep bookmarked. Been listening to the Greena mix from way back recently, and it kills. His new XLR8R mix should be good.

Lots of good stuff sitting in the new arrivals section at Boomkat (Pangea 12, Martyn Remixes 12, Mosca 12, SBTRKT 12, Untold & Ramadanman remixes... & the United Grooves remix 12 with that Hot City remix dropping soon), glaring at me reproachingly. Damn my feeble wage packet!

Amazing haul. Jealous of those Martyn 12s (though I guess that means they'll be floating around the internets soon!), and the Pangaea EP is fucking incredible, I could just listen to it over and over and nothing else and be happy. Make it your priority. And the Four Tet album, well I like that one very muchly too smile.gif

Yeah, this is the one I'm most excited about. Hessle haven't let me down yet and the samples sounded great.
I love these 2x12 EPs with 6 tracks spread over four sides. If I end up caning this one as much as I did Gonna Work Out Fine I'll be a very happy bruegel.

It's just the first one - with the Zomby & Redshape mixes. I suppose the 2nd one will be along soon. Might have time to squeeze in the Redshape's 74 mix before heading out.

Better than none, mister! wink.gif I'm really excited for all of them but I think the Ben Klock mix of "Is This Insanity" (on the second 12) is probably the best, it sounded amazing on Fabric 50.

EDIT: One of the Hackman tracks in the FACT mini-mix sounds like it's sampling Lady GaGa. If he hadn't won me over before...

hmm listening right now, sounds quite unimpressive. two options: 1. you are right; 2. they are really reverting to the late 90's sound. neither option sounds completely implausible.

Bunch of lovely stuff out this morning, including a new Starkey single-tracker. Om Unit single, new Joker remix, Vindicatrix album out as well that sounds a bit tasty. RA is doing their top albums of the decade, top 10 is pretty solid, one of the best I've seen yet (even if I'd change the order around a bit). Love that they have Silent Shout way up there (which atm is fighting with Burial over my own personal 'album of the decade' spot -- serious b'niss my lonely end friends).

I don't care if this is becoming the Heretix-rambles-to-himself thread, I can't resist sharing this bit of news.

Next HDB 12 is KYLE HALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF.

Then the Ikonika single, and an LV & Quarta 330 split.

I love it - can understand how it would irk some but I like those little nods to the old skool. What film is it taken from? Is it a slowed down Michael Gambon?

Can't stop listening to this thing at the moment. I think the entire Hessle roster should be obliged to turn in a 6 track EP and sharpish - That's two from you David Kennedy wink.gif

"Neurons" is what it is, I wouldn't change it.

Kyle Hall is young Detroit techno wizard, Omar-S latched onto him and has proven a faithful acolyte to Mr. Hall, to give you an idea of his 'pedigree.' He remixed "Aidy's Girl Is A Computer" on HDB028.
