Headdress -- Turquoise [Totem Songs]
http://www.myspace.com/totemsongs

Beautiful stuff. Shoegazing folk, out in the middle of the desert. The vocals are long winded and are spread throughout the songs very craftily, I love that stuff. The tracks could stand to be a bit longer, as the abrupt endings break the album's soft mood. Real simple guitar work, but very focused in it's intent. Personal highlight; "Arizona."

I'm not normally one to request stuff like this but is there anyone who knows what they're doing that can dig up a file of Emmon's new album 'The art and the evil'? Getting it off soulseek is proving painstaking and the first three tracks on it suggest top 10 of the year potential.

Cheers. smile.gif

EDIT - Couldn't find anything on shareminer, which is what I normally use.

if you downloaded Beirut from OiNK the tracklist was all kinda fucked up

OH man, the more I listen to this the better it gets.

He has managed to move his song-writing forward, without abandoning the qualities that made it amazing in the first place. So far I feel that he has gotten better at everything: his singing is stronger, his arrangements are more varied and exquisite, and his lyrics seem a little better too. I think this album is probably worthy of its own thread.

"La Banlieu" is such a great song.

so a quick listen to the new Prefuse has me pretty disappointed. Well disappointed is not the write word, because its not like that I expected it to be great (he hasn't done too much to exciting stuff since 'One Word Extinguisher,'), but I just don't really care anymore.
thresholdofrevelation
I got that Vampire Weekend a while back and it's one of the best things I've heard all year. Catchy as all hell, in case anybody was thinking about downloading it. So so so recommended.

his album in 03 was sort of a novelty to me. at least that was my introduction into the guy. now i'm like whatever.

Anybody else think it would be a good idea to post bitrates along with uploads? Because 128 and lower sounds dismal and it's nice to know the quality before downloading.
BTW, I can up a V0 of Vanderslice's Emerald City and a FLAC of Aesop Rock (maybe even a FLAC of Les Savy Fav's Go Forth if the seeder decides to come back)

I don't know. I kind of like the 128's because if I like it, I just go buy it. If I don't like it, it's a short download.
