So
Load Blown is currently the only album i feel like listening to. I have skimmed through some other Black Dice records, but this one is the one for me right now.

it's way too light and fluffy for my taste... especially Devendra's vocals, which are all whispery and shit on this. not feeling this one at all and so far it's easily my least fave of his.
i'm having the same problem with it, and i am a ridiculously dedicated Devendra fan. Some of the vocals don't even really sound like him at all. He's going in a new direction, and i'm not sure how i feel about it.

I love that cover. All the text on the cover and the interior is all written in honey - referencing the title, Honigpumpe, which translates to 'Honey Pump'. And also, the text on the cover has a spot varnish on it, which is oh-so-nice.
