the Avey Tare (of Animal Collective) & Kria Brekken (of Mum) collab album leaked.
Every track is backwards and no one's sure if it's on purpose
there's also a few pitch changes
and some speeding up on a few tracks
still real good though haha

QUOTE
Avey Tare is Dave Portner of Animal Collective and Kria Brekkan is Kristin Anna Valtysdottir formerly of the band múm. The two met a few years back and started playing music together in the summer of 2005. Recently they married and now live together in New York City.
Avey Tare and Kria Brekkan recorded their debut collaboration Pullhair Rubeye with guitars and piano on an eight track in their practice space in Brooklyn. Then they traveled to upstate New York where the record was mixed down onto a two track borrowed from a friend who bought it at a garage sale for a dollar. Just as the two were completing the mix, the two track broke down and Avey and Kria didn’t hear the mixes until two months later when they obtained another two track. After this short vacation, they were surprised by the sounds they had made.
Regardless of HOW they made their sounds, Avey Tare and Kria Brekkan’s Pullhair Rubeye is a motley collection of fun and somber songs. Some of the tracks are instrumental, textured, and trancelike. They sound like they could come from another world. Other songs are lyrically based, calmer, more introspective. These sound like direct transmissions from within.

this Avey + Kria album really can't be seriously backwards. They toured and played all these forward. I don't get that. They also had lyrics to Fetus No-Man and it was everyones favorite on the boards that Avey reads/posts on. I think they're just having some fun with promos. And it sure is getting people talking about it and many can't wait for the release now because of all this confusion.
Still though Avey himself Claims that this is the real version of it. Again though, could still just be kidding around.
here it is with everything re-reversed and the 3 tracks that were sped up slowed back down and pitch corrected

I don't. I really don't.
I have two possible ideas, so, yeah, I guess I have two, but I'm also guessing they're wrong.
1. The label leaks it on purpose to generate buzz (wouldn't be the worst idea, especially if it were on these forums).
2. The dude at the CD manufacturer place sticks one in his pocket.

For some reason, I think Montana might like this, but I could definitely be wrong. RIY don't mind your alt.country and indie rock mixing a little bit, but rather have the mix lean a little more toward the country side of things. Some parts remind me of
